Ten Minutes until Tomorrow

I only have ten minutes to post this and stay in my NaBloPoMo month of posting every day.  My granddaughter is here from Mississippi and I am enjoying her and not getting to the computer.

So I am going to post a pic of the afghan that I made for my daughter for Christmas!  It is all single crochet and I hope she loves it as much as I hoped she would.  She said she does!

I won……Bleed for Me by Michael Robotham

Is that not the coolest title for a book?  Am I a little “off?”  LOL  I won this from Library Thing.  First of all, rarely do I ever win anything and when if I do it’s not usually something that I want.  Ok, that’s not true.  I always want books but they may not always be the kind of book I like to read.  I do keep them on the shelf and will pick them up.  You really never know until you try a book.  I have found a lot of great reads but picking up something that I normally would not.  So, ALL wins are good.  LOL  Talk about getting off track.

Back to my book.  Bleed for Me is a title that caught my eye in a nanosecond!  I have not read it yet  but I have a feeling that it will be right up my alley.  Here is some info:

About the book….

When Sienna Hegarty turns up at his family home one night, covered in blood and frozen in shock, psychologist Joe O’Loughlin finds himself drawn deep into her world, trying to unearth the dark secrets her mind has buried. The police find a major piece of the puzzle at Sienna’s house: her father, a retired cop, is face-down in a pool of his own blood, his throat slashed and his skull caved in. The blood covering Sienna was his. The 14-year-old can’t remember what happened that night but, at the same time, Sienna doesn’t mourn her father’s death. What was going on behind closed doors in the Hegarty household? Is Sienna guilty of brutal murder? And what part has her charismatic teacher Gordon Ellis played in this blood-soaked event?

Here is the author.

Please visit the author’s website Michael Robotham to read more about him and his other books.  You can also download the first chapter of Bleed for Me.

Don’t forget to check out my new blog Adventures in Dukan.  This is where you can cheer me on with my new Dukan undertaking and read a bit more personal things that are not book related.  I am awful lonely over there, won’t you please join me?

Happy Friday

This day was a long time coming this week.  I have no reviews ready, no hops have been joined and all this shows how boring a person I really am.

On the reading front, I am reading Ghosts of Rosewood Asylum for a review in February.  I am enjoying it but I enjoy anything with ghosts.  I am listening to Jeff Ashton’s Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony.  I watched this trial every single day and I was as astounded as the rest of the world with the verdict.  I am enjoying the book which is narrated by Mr. Ashton.  It’s a lot of the same one, same old with some back story, personal story tossed in.  I am only about halfway through it.  Review will come someday.  LOL

How was your Friday?
